Whenever I would try and discuss politics with my late father, he would always end the discussion with "Things will never be right in Washington until we burn it down and start over again." Indeed, he was referring to Thomas Jefferson's challenge to a free people in the Declaration of Independence to alter or abolish a government that becomes destructive to the ends of liberty. Generally, he was a far more patient man than myself but, on the issue of the state of politics in this country, he had none. After voting to help Ronald Reagan defeat Jimmy Carter in 1980, our family chastised and mocked him repeatedly for breaking with what was supposed to be a guaranteed, born-in, Democratic vote. After the 1980 election, he never voted again as his disgust with politicians was causing him unnecessary angst.

In my early 20's, I started to develop my own political philosophy. It made for very heated family gatherings as I was seen blaspheming the unholy trinity of new Democratic politics; Government, Dependence, and Collectivism. It wasn't until second George W. Bush term that I realized that the new Democratic party had been infiltrated by a philosophy far more sinister than I had originally imagined. They were now fully on board with the world environmental movement. A movement chock full of old world Communists, Western elitists, and Latin American micro-tyrants. Most freedom loving people have known for quite some time that there was an ulterior motive behind the movement. While some were innocent in their concern for the environment, the movers and shakers running the show saw an opportunity to accomplish a weaker, obedient United States. Let us not kid each other on that motive as current events are justifying that assertion.

Enter Lisa Jackson, President Obama's EPA micro-tyrant. This woman has come out swinging against the American people stating her "obligation" to enforce caps on greenhouse emissions whether Congress passes the disastrous "Cap and Trade" legislation or not. Openly threatening us and our elected representation that her unilateral greenhouse gas cap enforcement will happen so we best pass the lesser of two evils or else. This "obligation" is absurd on its face. It only became an "obligation" when she "ruled" that carbon dioxide is an "air pollutant." See, under the Clean Air Act, the Supreme Court has found that the EPA must regulate air pollutants. No one ever thought that a gas that we all produce by simply breathing and a gas vital for plant life survival would be considered a "pollutant." One person having this much power to act on her religious beliefs is against everything this country was founded on. The "science" is far from settled on this hoax. The world's leading research unit on climate change was recently proven as, at the very least, a pack of habitual liars after some stolen emails surfaced. We are being sold snake oil followed by a mandatory dose of lowered quality of living all in the name of what Winston Churchill referred to as "the equal sharing of misery", Socialism. This Socialism couldn't be fed to us on its merits so these zealots have put some green lipstick on the carbon pig and are about to stampede all over your right to life, liberty, and property.
